		<description>Hey, Kevin! Thanks for the great piece on what&#039;s happened at Guelph. I&#039;m sorry to hear about the closure of SFU&#039;s Canadian Studies program, another valuable program that has been closed in the wake of the &quot;economic crunch&quot; sweeping the nation--and its universities.

There is no doubt that the economic crisis has been serious, but robbing students and workers of a sound, well-rounded education and stable, fair jobs is not the way out. We have to demand of our administrators creative, transparent and anti-oppressive solutions to these problems.
